Peacocks symbolize new beginnings and eternity.
Peacocks are large, colorful pheasants (typically blue and green) known for their iridescent tails. Did you know, male peafowls are one of the largest flying birds!! (Ref: National Geographic )
Peacocks and feathers of peacocks are my favorite subjects. I have been working on variations of them. While I love adding vibrant color palette to some of my subjects, I also love making a statement in pure black and white.
The peacock has long symbolized beauty, abundance, and spiritual awakening in Indian art. In this series, I explore the peacock and feather motif as an expression of inner grace, resilience, and the quiet power of presence — reimagined through contemporary Madhubani storytelling.
